The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports which commenced from 1969. The main goal of the NSS is to motivate and to train young students in the field of community service. The NSS scheme is implemented through various institutions of higher learning and our college too has implemented the NSS scheme to motivate students to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.


Motto: The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU Benefits of Being a NSS Volunteer: A NSS volunteer who takes part in the community service programme would either be a college level or a senior secondary level student. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience to be the following:

  • an accomplished social leader
  • an efficient administrator
  • a person who understands human nature


Major Activities:


Special Camp
The Special Camp is organized every year and the duration of each camp is of 7 days with day-night boarding & lodging. These camps are held in an adopted village, the village which is adopted should be at a distance of 25 km away from the college.


Blood Donation Camp:
The college NSS unit of our college organizes a blood donation camp every year. We have organized Blood Donation Camps in association with Sassoon Blood Bank.


Traffic Safety Awareness Drive:
The NSS volunteers conduct a Traffic Safety Awareness drive every year to bring about awareness about traffic related issues and road safety.
